By: Zach Mountford
Q: What is the biggest challenge as a head coach?
A: The biggest challenge for me is to make sure I’m keeping the guys motivated from practice to games all year from a psychological point of view.
Q: What will an ABA team bring to the city of Wilmington?
A: The ABA will bring an exciting brand of basketball that fans will want to see. Also, we are developing talent for the next level, so we will be attracting players that are interested in going to play in Europe or the NBA.
Q: What are you looking to get out of this team and organization?
A: We are looking to develop players to go on to any level above this league and for life after the game.
Q: What are the requirements to play for the Sea Dawgs?
A: You must be 18 years or older and you must have some experience after high school (college players we prefer). Having experience at pro level is even better.
Q: Do you think having UNCW players close by will make recruiting easier?
A: Having local college players will be great because they already have a fan base and that is always a pus for promoting an organization.
Q: When does the 2006 season begin?
A: The season will begin in November.
Thanks to Coach Whitted and good luck to the Seadawgs. |
